Privacy policy

Last updated October 11, 2026

Splashtemp (splashtemp.ca) is a free pool finder. This policy explains what happens to information when you use it.

Advertising and Google

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons and device identifiers, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Personalized advertising. Ads may be personalized, meaning they use information about your browsing to show ads relevant to you. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:

Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.

What we collect

Your location

If you tap “near me” or allow the browser to share your location, your coordinates are used only on your device, to sort pools by distance. We do not receive, send or store them. You can refuse or withdraw permission in your browser at any time and still use the site by searching.

Other services your browser contacts

To show maps and photos, your browser requests resources from other services, which see your IP address under their own policies: OpenStreetMap map tiles, the Leaflet library (unpkg), and some pool photos hosted by their owners (for example city and Parks Canada sites) or Wikimedia Commons. Outbound links go to third-party sites we do not control.

Children

The site is meant for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because we hold little personal information, there is usually little to access or delete. To ask about information we hold (for example a message you sent), contact us below. Residents of Canada, the EEA/UK and California may have rights under local privacy law, and we will respond as the law requires.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest change.
